The American Immigrant Alliance was founded on a quiet conviction — that a country is the sum of the stories it agrees to remember, and that the United States has, for too long, remembered the immigrant story incompletely.
We are not a political project. We are an archive, a magazine, and a classroom. We document the lives, the work, and the contributions of the people who came here from somewhere else — and through that documentation, we hope to do a small part in helping all Americans see the country a little more clearly.
This is our founding statement. Everything else we publish is in service of it.
